John Bates and his wife Kristen Vojik Bates opened this establishment first as Growlers Pub in February 2004. John is known in the Baltimore beer scene as a pioneer of micros. Many may know John from his 14+ years working at Racers before he ventured out on his own to open Growlers Pub, now known as Baltimore Taphouse.
